Michael Chihoski Appointed President and CEO Global Development of Gulf Development International

(London, United Kingdom, 3/24/2017) Gulf Development International (GDI) has named Michael A. Chihoski its President and CEO of Global Development. Mr. Chihoski will oversee day to day operations of all development projects for GDI. Additionally, Mr. Chihoski will oversee business development organization and strategic partnerships. 

Mr. Chihoski’s experience in global real estate development is extensive. Prior to joining GDI, Chihoski served as Chief Operating Officer of Emaar the Economic City (EEC), a publicly listed Saudi company leading the development of King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC). In this capacity, he was responsible for day-to-day operations and headed the Corporate Construction, Supply Chain, Infrastructure, Utilities and Master Planning divisions of EEC. In his tenure as COO, Mr. Chihoski led EEC through the most successful multi-year period in their history.

Mr. Chihoski also served as Senior Vice President of Design, Construction, and Engineering for OSF Healthcare System. In that capacity, Chihoski led OSF through the largest expansion the it’s more than 130 years history, overseeing multiple projects including the construction of a new Children’s Hospital, a data center, and a state of the art innovation and research facility.

Mr. Chihoski has more than 25 years of progressive experience in the fields of real estate development, operations, construction, and facility management. Mr. Chihoski has also served on more than a dozen boards and commissions both in the public and private sectors.

Mr. Chihoski earned both a B.S. Industrial Technology and M.S. Industrial Management from Northern Illinois University. Mr. Chihoski is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Development Program (AMDP) in Real Estate at Harvard University, Graduate School of Design.
